What is Santa Cruz Athletic Club?

Santa Cruz Athletic Club is our new state-of-the-art fitness and wellness facility opening in 2025. It combines the strengths of Santa Cruz Power Fitness with advanced amenities and services to support your health and fitness journey.

Where will the new facility be located? Our new facility, Santa Cruz Athletic Club, will be conveniently located at 901 Soquel Drive (next door to Whole Food’s)

What are the different Pre-Sale membership options, and what do they include?

Our memberships will increase upon opening:

• Essential ($68/month) – Full gym access, group RedRoom HIIT classes, large infrared saunas, and Snow Showers for contrast therapy. (12-month commitment required.)

• Core ($160/month) – Includes all Essential benefits + unlimited access to the heated yoga studio. (6-month commitment required.)

• Core+ ($248/month) – Includes all Core benefits + unlimited heated classes, unlimited spa group contrast therapy, and towel service. (6-month commitment required.)

• Aura+ ($748/ Month) - Includes all Core+ benefits with unlimited access to our advanced recovery modalities inside the Aura Recovery Lounge. This includes: HBOT, Red light therapies, PEMF, private contrast and Vibroacoustic therapy with Brain Tap. This membership is located on our Wellness & Recovery Page. (3- month commitment required & limited memberships available at this tier)

Accessing the Aura Recovery Lounge Modalities: Those who do not have an active Aura+ membership can book sessions through our app or front desk in single session drop ins or packages.

IV, Peptide and Hormone Therapy: All services conducted under Rejuvenate at Aura (held by a Dr or Nurse) will be booked and purchased separately. These services are not included with any membership.

Branded App: We have a custom app (Santa Cruz Athletic Club) which will allow our members to book classes, recovery sessions, manage their account, sync to fitness devises, connects to MyFitnessPal for food tracking, and receive custom workouts from their personal trainer.

Student Memberships: Available in person for active students who provide proof of enrollment. After the initial 12 month discounted term has ended, the membership will automatically renew at our standard Essential rates. If the member is still an active student, they can resubmit proof of enrollment and the membership can be renewed at their discounted rates.

Family Ad On’s: Available in person for those who are immediate family members, sharing the same address (with proof). The Family Ad On membership will apply to our Essential membership only. The primary account holder must hold a standard rate membership and will not apply to discounted memberships such as Student, Hero, or Corporate.

What types of heated classes do you offer at Santa Cruz Athletic Club? We offer a variety of heated classes designed to cater to different fitness and wellness needs. These include:

• Vinyasa Yoga: A dynamic form of yoga that links movement and breath to flow from one pose to the next.

• Power Yoga: A more intense form of yoga that focuses on strengthening and flexibility, offering a vigorous workout.

• Hot 26: A series of 26 yoga postures performed in a heated room, inspired by traditional Bikram yoga.

• Fusion Yoga: This class combines elements from different yoga styles for a comprehensive yoga experience.

• Sculpt Yoga: A unique class that integrates yoga poses with light weights to enhance strength and endurance.

• Slow Flow Yoga: A gentler yoga practice that focuses on slow movements and stretches to relax and rejuvenate the body.

• Yin/Restorative Yoga: Designed to deeply relax and restore the body, this class involves holding poses for longer periods.

• Buti Yoga: A blend of traditional yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics performed in a heated environment to boost energy and sweat out toxins.

What is the Spa Group Contrast experience at Santa Cruz Athletic Club?
The Spa Group Contrast is a premium recovery experience within our dedicated recovery center. It features a large dry stone sauna, cold plunges, private showers, and changing rooms, all in an elegant, modern setting with limited occupancy to ensure a more elevated and relaxing experience. This is included with our Core+ memberships or available for add ons by single drop ins or packages.

Can I use the Spa Group Contrast or other advanced recovery modalities without a membership?
Yes! Non-members can purchase single-use sessions or packages to experience the Spa Group Contrast. It’s available as an add-on to any membership or as a standalone service.

Do you offer personal training, and how does it work? Yes, we offer personal training with customized programs based on your fitness goals. Training sessions are held on our private personal training mezzanine for a more focused environment.

How do I secure a pre-sale membership? You can secure your pre-sale membership by visiting our website and selecting the "Pre-Sale Membership" option. Pay now to lock in your discounted rate.

How will the transition to the new facility affect my current membership? We anticipate a minimum of three day closure at Santa Cruz Power Fitness while transitioning to Santa Cruz Athletic Club.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership later? Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your membership within the first month of opening at the presale rate. After that, changes will be subject to market rates.

Will my rates change after the term period? No! Your presale rates will remain the same after our membership terms.

What is your early termination fee? If you are within a contractual period and decide to cancel your membership, there is a $99 early termination fee, in compliance with California's Health Studio Services Contract Law. However, during our first month of being open, we will be flexible with terminations since we understand that members have not yet experienced our facility.

If you are currently a member of another gym in California and they are charging over $100 for an early termination fee or the remaining balance of your contractual term that exceeds $100, we recommend doing your research and bringing this law to their attention​.
